How to get there:
CAR: Newcastle Stadium is on the Fossway in Byker. From the north follow the A1 southbound, taking the A19 slip road. Follow the A19 for approximately two miles, then take the A189, followed by the A188 (signposted Newcastle East). After about six miles the stadium is signposted at a roundabout where you take first exit. Newcastle Stadium is 400 yards on the right. Beware the traffic light system on Fossway. Despite how it appears, take right at lights which is the old straight over. From the south, follow the A1 northbound past Washington Services. Take the left fork (A1) and first slip road (A167) through Gateshead. Cross Tyne Bridge onto Central Motorway. Take second slip road off and fourth exit at the roundabout (A193) After about one and a half miles take third exit from roundabout signed Newcastle Stadium. Then see above warning on traffic lights. There is car parking at the stadium at a cost of £1.
TRAIN: The nearest station is Newcastle Central Station, which is on the main line from London to Edinburgh.
BUS: Buses run from Newcastle city centre and the Central Station to Byker on a regular basis.
TAXI: A taxi from the rail station to the former Brough Park should cost between £5 and £7.
