STADIUM FACILITIES: Main grandstand on home straight, with 1,000 seats, covered terracing on back straight and open terracing all around first and second bends. No spectator access to third and fourth bends. Fast food outlets on home straight and on apex of turns one and two. Large licensed bar under grandstand, with additional bar under grandstand available to meeting sponsors. New hospitality suite, accommodating up to 50 people, available to sponsors on exit of turn two.
 

CAR:  From the M6, leave at junction40. Take the westbound A66 for 38 miles until it ends at Workington. At traffic lights take left-hand filter, turning left onto A596 for 100 metres, following signs for Town Centre and railway station. Turn right at next traffic lights onto B5297, going straight across at mini-roundabout, past the bus station and straight on at all sets of traffic lights, still following signs for railway station. At junction in front of station go straight across, following one-way system past the station, keeping to the left hand lane taking the second left. Parking at the stadium costs £1.
TRAIN: The nearest railway station is Workington, which is on the Carlisle to Barrow line. However, it is recommended that train times be checked well in advance as the line is not a major route. The last train north to Carlisle leaves well before the speedway finishes while the last train south to Barrow leaves before the speedway even starts. So, if you are travelling to Derwent Park by rail, an overnight stay in Workington is a necessity followed by a train journey north to Carlisle on Sunday lunchtime.
BUS: The town’s bus station is a 10-minute walk from the track.
TAXI: A taxi rank is situated on Murray Road, just outside the bus station, and would only be a minimal fare to the track.
