FREDDIE Lindgren recorded the first victory of his Grand Prix career, whilst Greg Hancock returned to the top of the championship standings. That was the outcome of round four of this year’s Speedway Grand Prix series in Gothenburg where both Lindgren and Hancock fought back from bad starts to finish first and second in the final. Chris Holder was third and wild card Thomas H. Jonasson fourth at the end of a night which looked to begin with as though it would belong to Nicki Pedersen for the second GP running. The Dane was on fire in the early stages, topping the qualifying scores with 14 points and looking all but unbeatable, but he then fell at the semi-final hurdle, excluded for knocking off Jonasson on the final corner when he was only yards from being beaten anyway.
