BIRMINGHAM are within one signing of finalising their Championship team after agreeing a deal with Zach Wajtknecht (pictured) for a return to Barry Barr.
The 20-year-old, who began his career with the Brummies in 2015, joins Ulrich Ostergaard, Kyle Newman, Ashley Morris, Tobias Thomsen and Paco Castagna in the Birmingham ranks. "When I started there as a three-point reserve, if you'd have told me four seasons later I'd be a middle order Championship rider and a reserve in the top league I'd have definitely taken it," Wajtknecht said. "Birmingham was such a great club to get going with and I really did learn so much in the two seasons I was there. "I've progressed really well, especially since making that step up to the top league, but there's still a lot more to come as well. "It was an easy decision when they asked me to come back and I can't wait to ride for Birmingham again, especially at Perry Barr because it's a track I love."
