BIRMINGHAM'S James Pearson has taken the final berth in Belle Vue's National Development League team.
The teenage Australian, who made his British debut at second tier level with the Brummies last season, will now slot into a heat leader role with the Colts. Club CEO Mark Lemon said: "A lot of time and effort has gone into bringing James to Belle Vue. "It's a big plus when opportunities open for the inclusion of Commonwealth riders to be able to participate in the National League and we're delighted to finally welcome him to Manchester. "He's a very exciting prospect and has already proved himself a capable rider, but I think this season will be another significant stepping stone in development for rider and club. "I'm confident that supporters will be as happy with our Belle Vue Colts team as we are, and we are very much looking forward to seeing them in action."
