ANDERS Rowe will replace the injured Jack Thomas in Poole's starting line-up.
Thomas has been ruled out for the long term after a pre-season practice crash and the defending second tier champions have called up Rowe, who had separate stints with Leicester and Scunthorpe last year, as his replacement. Pirates co-promoter Dan Ford said: "It is never nice having to make team changes, but when you are forced into it even before the season has taken its first breath, it is even more galling and we continue to wish Jack a speedy recovery. "But we feel that in Anders we have a rider equal in ability to Jack and therefore an ideal replacement." "To be honest, Anders has been on our radar for some time and we have been close to signing him previously. Now circumstances have prevailed where we are able to include him, and we remain confident that he will fit the mould and will be able to help us achieve our targets of successful defences of both the league and Cup and make us double winners for the third consecutive season."
