FORMER Polish Champion Piotr Pawlicki and Czech star Vaclav Milik are the final two pieces in Birmingham’s team jigsaw.
The Brummies have finalised their team for the new Premiership season with the signings of Pawlicki and Milik, who will join Steve Worrall, Wiktor Lampart, Tom Brennan, Zach Cook and Leon Flint at Perry Barr. Pawlicki has previously raced in Britain for Wolverhampton, Poole and Coventry whilst Milik has worn the colours of Poole and King’s Lynn. Birmingham CEO Nigel Tolley said: “As supporters are already aware, we spent a fair amount of time deliberating our top two signings. But as talks progressed, it started to become clear that Piotr and Vaclav were the two riders we ideally wanted to lead the Brummies. “They initially made our shortlist having been heavily recommended by a number of our contacts and the more we got to know about them, the more we felt they would ideally be suited to Birmingham. “Piotr is a really stylish rider and he will keep supporters at all tracks entertained that’s for sure. Vaclav is another rider who has caught the eye of supporters over the years and his return to the UK could come at the perfect time. “Both of them get on very well, they’re close, personal friends who enjoy riding together and they’ll also be travelling together.”
