PATRYK DUDEK is the new leader of the World Championship after a Polish one-two-three in Daugavpils on Saturday night.
Piotr Pawlicki recorded the first Grand Prix win of his career in Latvia, but second place for Dudek was sufficient to give him the lead in the overall standings after three rounds by just one point from Jason Doyle and Freddie Lindgren. Doyle finished fourth in the final behind Maciej Janowski, who had earlier survived an horrific three-man back straight pile-up with Matej Zagar and Bartosz Zmarzlik in Heat 17. Britain's Tai Woffinden scored nine points but was eliminated in the first semi-final. "¢ Full coverage from Daugavpils in this week's Speedway Star.
