OXFORD’S Championship team building plans for 2025 have been thrown into disarray with the news that Scott Nicholls will miss the start of the season.
The Cheetahs’ heat leader has revealed that he requires surgery on the shoulder he dislocated in the last match of last season against Poole and will not be fit in time for tapes up in the spring. Nicholls said: “It’s a race against time to be fit and I will work hard to be back as soon as I can, but sadly I won’t be ready to start the season. “I have informed Oxford of the situation and they will be doing what they can to build the best team possible for the start of the season without my presence. “I’m truly devastated by my current situation, but as you all know I’ll do my best to be back as soon as possible.”
