JANUSZ Kolodziej (pictured), Niels-Kristian Iversen and Antonio Lindback are back in the Grand Prix series.
The trio, all former GP riders, took the top three places in Saturday's GP Challenge at German track Landshut to become the first three confirmed starters for 2019. There was heartbreak for Britain's Craig Cook, who lost a run-off to Lindback for the third and final qualifying spot after the pair had tied on 10 points. Fellow Brit Robert Lambert also went out, scoring nine points after a first race last to miss the cut by one point, whilst Belle Vue's Australian Max Fricke suffered an engine failure in his final ride when a win would have put him through. Kolodziej returns to the full-time GP fold for the first time since 2011, whilst Iversen and Lindback are back after missing just one year.
