WHAT a weekend for British speedway – and in particular rising star Robert Lambert. In this week's Speedway Star, we reflect on an heroic performance from the Lions in the final of the new Speedway of Nations tournament in Wroclaw, where a near faultless display from Tai Woffinden, coupled with a battling performance from Lambert, was oh-so-close to securing a shock gold medal. Instead, it was the Russians – in the form of Artem Laguta and Emil Sayfutdinov – who broke British hearts in a four-lap decider for the title. King’s Lynn's Lambert then jetted back to the UK to win his first British title at senior level on Monday night at Belle Vue – don't miss our extensive coverage from the National Speedway Stadium in this week's edition.
