BARTOSZ Zmarzlik is the early leader of the World Championship after winning the opening Grand Prix of the season in Croatia on Saturday night.
The two-times World Champion began his bid to regain the crown he lost to Artem Laguta last year with a maximum 20 points in Donji Kraljevec. He defeated fellow countryman Maciej Janowski and Danes Mikkel Michelsen and Anders Thomsen in the final. It was a disappointing night for the British contingent, with only Robert Lambert qualifying for the semi-finals. Tai Woffinden and Dan Bewley both finished down the order.
