MARTIN Vaculik posted his second Grand Prix victory of the season in Wroclaw on Saturday night to move up to fifth in the standings.
The Slovakian won the final from Fredrik Lindgren, with Britain’s Robert Lambert in third and Mikkel Michelsen finishing fourth. Lindgren and Lambert are now tied for second overall, 15 points behind World Champion Bartosz Zmarzlik who recovered from a first race last place to reach the semi-finals. A mechanical failure ended his night there. Vaculik said: "It’s an incredible feeling right now. I’m really pleased and grateful for the result. “I feel great on the bike, and my mechanics did a great job – everything came together perfectly. We’re taking it step by step, staying focused, and giving our best for the rest of the season." • Full coverage from Wroclaw in this week’s Speedway Star – on sale on Thursday.
