THERE will be a Speedway Grand Prix in Manchester next year.
Belle Vue’s National Speedway Stadium has been added to the 2025 SGP itinerary and will host round four on June 14. It will be the first of two British SGP rounds next summer, with Cardiff’s Principality Stadium hosting its annual round on August 16. Belle Vue CEO Mark Lemon said: “Ever since the National Speedway Stadium opened in 2016, it has produced some of the most spectacular racing in the world. “That has prompted a constant narrative that an SGP round should be held in Manchester. “From the outset, we wanted to make it happen and I’m very pleased that it will come to fruition in our tenth year at the NSS. “This is the SGP round that every fan wanted, in my mind it almost feels like it will be the people’s Grand Prix on the calendar.”
