KING'S LYNN and Glasgow rider Lewis Kerr (pictured) is facing a lengthy spell out of action after breaking his leg in the Stars' Premiership match against Leicester on Wednesday night.
Kerr suffered a spiral fracture of his leg when he crashed in Heat 6 and there was a long delay to the meeting while the rider received medical attention and was then transferred to hospital. When the meeting resumed, Stars' Kasper Andersen crashed in the seventh race and sustained concussion and a fractured shoulder."¨The meeting had to be abandoned with the curfew time approaching. King's Lynn team manager Dale Allitt said: "It's absolutely devastating. It's overshadowed anything else that could happen tonight."¨A big shout out to all the medical staff at the track and King's Lynn hospital."
