AUSTRALIA, Latvia and France have completed the line-up for the Speedway of Nations Final in Manchester next month.
The Aussies lived up to their billing as clear pre-meeting favourites by winning Saturday night's second semi-final in Latvia. Former World Champion Jason Doyle dropped only one point as the Roos won the meeting in Daugavpils on 35. That was enough to edge out hosts Latvia by a point, with France defeating Germany 5-4 to secure the third and final qualifying position. Both Latvia and France will be making their first appearance in a world team championship final at Belle Vue on October 16-17. "¢ Full SoN coverage in Speedway Star this week "“ on sale Thursday.
